A psychiatrist you can actually see — anywhere in California

Most people looking for a psychiatrist in California run into the same wall: months-long waitlists, five-minute visits, and offices an hour away. Telehealth removes the wall. I see individuals across the entire state by secure video, with unhurried appointments and a direct relationship with me.

How telehealth psychiatry works here

Care starts with a thorough evaluation through a diagnostic conversation about what is actually going on. From there, treatment may include medication management, targeted therapy, and performance-focused work. Medication when it is the right addition to treatment. Follow-ups are scheduled at a rhythm that fits your treatment, and messages come to me directly.

Is video-based psychiatry actually good care?

For evaluation, medication management, and therapy, decades of telepsychiatry research have found outcomes comparable to in-person care — psychiatry is, at its core, careful conversation and careful observation. What telehealth adds is consistency and convenience leading to fewer missed appointments, which is important for successful treatment.

Common questions
Can a telehealth psychiatrist prescribe medication in California?

Yes. I am licensed in California and prescribe as part of ordinary telehealth care when medication is clinically appropriate. Some medication categories involve additional requirements, which we discuss at the evaluation — nothing is decided before evaluation.

Which parts of California do you serve?

All of them. Medically licensed in California, I see individuals all across the state from San Diego to Los Angeles to the Bay Area.

What do I need for a video appointment?

A private space, a reliable connection, and a phone or computer with a camera. You will need to be physically located in California at the time of each appointment.

Do you take insurance?

The practice is private-pay and out-of-network, which is what makes unhurried, confidential care possible. You can request a superbill to submit to your insurance if benefits include out-of-network reimbursement. Details are laid out inside the application before you commit to anything.

How do I start?

Complete the short application on the home page — about 5–7 minutes. I review applications personally, typically within 1–2 business days, and you will hear back by email about scheduling.
